The events that follow have three characteristics: (1) we know about them, (2) they bear directly on your capacity to develop into a first-rate foresight professional and (3) we are confident that they are worthwhile. We know of no site that tracks foresight events world-wide. If you know of one, please contact us. Many of the organizations listed below host annual or occasional conferences. The views expressed reflect our orientation and commitments.
Association of Professional Futurists (APF):
APF is a global membership organization of professional futurists. Their annual meeting is typically a well-designed event of high value. The location and dates vary. See: www.apf.org (Disclosure: Ruben Nelson is a member.)
Canadian Association of the Club of Rome (CACOR):
CACOR is the Club of Rome in Canada. CACOR host monthly luncheons in Ottawa. Contact Madeline Aubrey to be added to their email list: firstname.lastname@example.org (Disclosure: Ruben Nelson is a member.)

Institute on Religion in an Age of Science (IRAS):
IRAS has hosted a week-long annual conference on Star Island, New Hampshire, USA for decades. The week offers a rare opportunity for reflection and deep learning. Attendees range from educated lay persons to top-ranked scholars. (Disclosure: Ruben Nelson is a member of the IRAS Council.) See www.iras.org . How Can We Know: Co-creating Knowledge in Perilous Times, June 25 – July 2, 2016. IRAS 2016 Complete Conference Statement
World Futures Society (WFS):
The annual WFS event is seldom a well-designed conference. Rather, it has been a somewhat chaotic marketplace of futurists and futures ideas. Every person with an interest in the future should go at least once. As with Disneyland, you will know if you want to go back. July 22-24, 2016, Washington, DC. ((Disclosure: Ruben Nelson is a professional member.)
World Futures Studies Federation (WFSF):
WFSF is a global membership organization for professional futures researchers and strategic foresighters. The WFSF host a bi-annual world conference. The next will be in 2017. See: www.wfsf.org (Disclosure: Foresight Canada is an institutional member.)
